After years of slavishly pouring through food blogs, admiring photos and beautiful recipes I think it’s time for me to join the unending hordes of food bloggers on the internet. I’m not sure what novel take on the genre I can bring, or what ‘niche I can fill’ in the words of almost every food blog advice article ever written, but I have a DSLR, a nice kitchen (at last) and a love of cooking, so that seems about as good a reason as any.Food blogs have increasingly become my go to resource for recipe advice/ideas. As books, though beautiful, are unavoidably cumbersome for search, and Google churns up a great deal of trash when it comes to recipe search. So rather than just consuming (and boy did I consume when I discovered egullet.com) I’ll add my own effort to the food blogging world.
And if the occasional post along the lines of generative art or science sneaks in, I will at least try and justify them with a mention of food somewhere.
